Application
Do you want to check on the status of your team?
Log in using your assigned team Id number in the log in box under the Coaches tab in the left rail.
Has my team been accepted?
You can search for accepted teams by division, by selecting from the drop down menu and clicking on See Teams. Application deadline is Oct 1, 2008.
The application form does not look right on my screen (overlapping drop down boxes, long rows over the input fields, etc.) What is going on?
First, you should let the ENTIRE form load BEFORE you scroll. It is a big form.

In short, your computer does not have enough memory (RAM) available to render the form correctly. Here is the solution that will work in most cases:

1. Clear the cache (temporary files) in Internet Explorer (Usually Tools>Internet Options>Remove Temporary files
2. Shut down Internet Explorer
3. Restart the computer
4. Open JUST MS Internet Explorer.
5. Go to Web site, fill out form.

In most cases, this will solve the problem....

General
Can I bring my pet to the fields? I am just going to have him on a leash and sit by me.
I am sorry but we are under the jurisdiction of the parks and their rule is "NO ANIMALS ALLOWED AT FIELDS".

Please be aware of this. If pets are brought to the fields we must ask that they be taken elsewhere.
What is the policy for making schedule changes?
Once the schedule is printed, it will only change if one of three circumstances occurs AND with the approval of Tournament Director, Referee Assignor and Director of Scheduling:
  1. The facility/hours change. This would only occur due to inclement weather.

  2. A team withdraws. This alone may NOT mean we will have a schedule change.

  3. An extraordinary unforeseen circumstance requires a team to request a change. These circumstances do not include preferences about coaches, opponents or game times.
How much does the tournament cost?
The fees are posted on the front page, in the Facts At A Glance, to the left of the photo. Also posted there are the dates, location, deadline, etc.

This information also appears on the About page and on the Application Form Instructions (About, Register choices from the top menu)

    Hotels/Travel
Why is there a "stay to play"; rule for the tournament?
There are many costs associated with putting on a tournament. The participating hotels are pleased to have your business, and are sponsoring our tournament financially. We want to support those hotels that are supporting the tournament.
Why are we required to use the housing service?
We are a STAY TO PLAY tournament. The housing service will assist you in making your hotel reservations without calling several hotels and incurring many long distance charges. You only need to call one toll-free number.
Can my Club's teams all stay in one hotel property?
We will do our best to accommodate such requests. Make sure that when you apply and fill out the Lodging Request Form that you make note that you want to be placed together with a specific group, or team. We cannot make any guarantees but will strive to honor your requests.
I am a local team who does not require housing. Do I still need to book hotel rooms to be in the tournament?
No. Only the teams who require housing during their participation in the tournament, must use the hotels that are listed on the www,veteransinvitational.com web site as part of their acceptance. ALL teams will be asked to fill out a hotel form verfying where they are staying for the event.
Will our team have a choice in hotels?
We have set up our housing service so that you will have a choice, based on availability. The earlier your team makes its reservation, the greater the choice will be. As hotels fill, your choices may be limited. All hotels are within 10 to 20 minute drive of all the tournament sites.
